A History and Explanation of Torrg Rockmaul

In his early years, Torrg lived in Durotar with his mother Ronja and his father Grokan. Around the age of eleven he unexpectedly found his skills as a Shaman when he used his powers against a brutish young warrior in self defense. As he grew, expectedly he felt the urge to battle, and often criticized the non-use of certain weapons, having been hopeful for a warrior's stead, his trainer Irgata Thunderfist helped him realize his potential and he delved himself within his studies. Torrg was always a bit smarter than the average orc, he practiced patience and helped to discipline himself with the ever changing tide of the elements, further grasping their concepts to use them in battle.

When Torrg reached twenty years of age, he met a druid slightly older than he named Thorne Wildhoof and the pair fell in love and moved to Mulgore together. Torrg adopted the Tauren culture, finding it more meaningful to him than that of his own kind's, learning and participating in many rituals and celebration as a brother to the clan. Twenty-three years after this, Thorne was killed in a massive fire and Torrg learned his father Krum was the one responsible. At the suggestion of a friend, Torrg left and traveled the world for two years, training to overtake the warrior chief in battle and avenge his partner's death and when he returned, he exacted his vengeance. He was offered Krum's role and property as payment but he turned it down, giving it to a friend who tried to save Thorne's life.

At one point in his 30's, Torrg traveled to Undercity as his previously black hair was beginning to shade to gray and visited a man there who, through a working of chemicals, had found a way to permanently dye one's hair any color. But the experiment backfired and Torrg ended up with a deep purple dye in the hair on his scalp, while the rest of the hair on his body remained black. One of the side effects also allowed Torrg's hair to grow back, giving him more volume and thickness than most orc males are known for, and it has grown down to the small of his back. This experience humbled the shaman, removing the remnants of his youth's vanity as well.

Personality Traits: Strong, wise, noble but hard headed. Many find this to be a strength, though Torrg never backs down, even at the cost of broken bones or danger. He is a bit more reserved, but is very friendly to any who approach him without ill intentions, it's hard to get on his bad side, but when you do, he tends to lose most self control and operates on instinct.
